Start with a shared language

Understand each other's working styles from day one, before misunderstandings set in. Ideal after a reorganisation, a merger or a new manager.

Add MBTI to your away day

An MBTI module gives the team a common language before you dive into plans and priorities. On request, I facilitate your whole away day too.

Here's what I do differently

Many teams have filled in an MBTI questionnaire once, heard a talk about four letters, and moved on. That's where the tool gets its "fluffy" reputation.

My workshops work differently. Through a series of interactive exercises, your team discovers the types step by step. Then we talk through what they mean for your team: how you communicate, make decisions and work together.

“MBTI came up as one of the most instructive and useful parts of our two-day event. Elin approached it differently from a previous trainer, with deeper knowledge, more background and more examples.”

Barry Callebaut

“I wasn't exactly looking forward to it, after less pleasant experiences in the past. But the way you did it wasn't boring at all. Actually, it was quite fun.”

More than a questionnaire

Four steps, from questionnaire to team agreements

1

Discover

Everyone completes the official MBTI® questionnaire beforehand. In the workshop, you first verify your type through experience, then receive your personal report.

“The exercises and examples helped define our profiles, which isn't always evident when filling in the questionnaire.”D'Ieteren
2

Understand

Experiential exercises let you feel the differences instead of hearing about them. You see why a colleague reacts the way they do.

“Even though I had taken the test and done my own research, I learned much more today because of the way you presented the info and the exercises.”Guardsquare

“Thanks for this amazing workshop and for opening our eyes to plenty of new ways to work together.”Brussels Airlines

Keep using it

Your team leaves with a shared language and concrete agreements. The follow-up deep dives "MBTI So What?" on communication and persuasion are the next step.

“We will debrief as a team and might adapt our ways of working, taking into account our different profiles.”DSW

I've worked in teams like yours

Hi, I'm Elin De Boel. Before training teams, I worked at Bain & Company, Procter & Gamble, Danone and Novartis. I know from experience how much a team gains when people understand each other's way of working.

I use MBTI myself as a practical tool for planning my professional life, and that's how I teach it: hands-on, with real examples and plenty of room for your team's own questions.

What teams say

Feedback from recent workshops

We found it very insightful and believe it will definitely help our collaboration, within the team and with other departments. We all believe we should use it in our team meetings and 1-on-1s with our manager.

D'Ieteren

The mix of exercises and theory was perfectly balanced. I learned an enormous amount, not only about what gives me energy but, most importantly, about my colleagues and how best to communicate with them.

Eurocontrol

Very well prepared: hand-outs, exercises and content. The "room flow" felt natural and extremely well timed. Chapeau bas!

Guardsquare

Despite the limited time, you managed to convey the content smoothly and thoroughly.

Questions

Good to know

Do participants complete the official MBTI® questionnaire?

Yes. Every participant completes the official MBTI® questionnaire online before the workshop. During the workshop we first verify each type through exercises, because the questionnaire alone does not always give a clear answer. Participants then receive their personal report in the workshop.

Can the workshop be given in English?

Yes. Workshops are given in English or Dutch, which makes them a good fit for international teams.

Can the workshop take place online?

Yes. The virtual workshop (3.5 hours, up to 10 participants) uses video calls and online whiteboards to keep it interactive. In-person workshops take place at your office or a venue of your choice, anywhere in Europe.

How many people can join a workshop?

Workshops work best with 5 to 20 participants. For larger groups, an experienced co-trainer joins, so everyone still gets personal attention. The virtual workshop is limited to 10 participants. Larger group? Get in touch and I will suggest a set-up that works.

Can MBTI be part of our offsite or strategy day?

Yes. MBTI works well as a module within an offsite. On request, I facilitate the rest of your away day too, keeping discussions on time and goal-oriented.
